After the Holidays

So you finally made it through the holidays and realized that you bought presents for everyone but yourself. What better time to get something from you to you! You came in the store to buy your kids equipment and get it under the tree. While you were here you took a glance at the wall and saw the perfect skis or boots but you couldn't justify buying something for yourself so close to Christmas. You thought someone in the family would pick up on your hints and get you new skis...but they didn't. Take all those socks and underwear you got back to the mall and use that money for something fun. We still have a great selection of equipment to set you up with the perfect gear.

Countdown to Christmas!

Only three more shopping days until Christmas. That's only three more days to save on the gifts that every skier in the family could possibly want under the tree. A new helmet for Bobby? A warm pair of ski socks in Lee's stocking? How about a pair of boot heaters in Jacqui's boots? Who wouldn't want heated boots for Christmas? We have you covered from head to toe with the latest and warmest clothing and accessories for the ski trail to the lodge.

If you don't ski, we have gifts for you too. Hand warmers come in handy on chilly days sledding or shoveling all the snow we have and all that is coming this winter. Hats and goggles are useful while running the snow blower. We even have the latest outdoor clothing from Choko if your going to fire up the snowmobile and fire around the neighborhood during the next storm. Whatever you do in the winter, we have the equipment and clothing to make it more fun! Three days and counting. Shane McConkey Tribute Ski Available at Ski Haus!

To celebrate Shane’s life, K2 Skis will release a limited edition Shane McConkey Ski built on the Pontoon chassis, in winter 2009. Graphically inspired by Shane’s personality, ability and many contributions to our sport, the ski will be available at participating authorized K2 Dealers and K2Skis.com beginning in October. Approximately 500 Pair of the unique, individually numbered, commemorative skis will be produced. All net proceeds generated by the sales of the Shane McConkey Tribute ski, suggested retail $699, will be donated to Shane’s family.
“Shane was a part of our K2 family” said Jeff Mechura, Global Brand Director for K2 Sports.
“He was the pure embodiment of everything that K2 stands for, and we cherished the time we were able to spend with him. In many ways, Shane has changed the way we all think about life and skiing and we will miss him dearly. This ski is but one way to remember him and pay tribute to a legend of our sport.”

You have to see this ski in person to truly appreciate it. The graphics are great, the ski is amazing in powder, and all the money goes to the McConkey family.

Shane was a member of the K2 Skis Team and was a creative thinker who challenged conventional wisdom in ski design. His Pontoon rockered powder ski, introduced in 2004, was one of the most profound innovations in ski design in decades. His concept was soon after adopted by the snowboard market thus making the sports more fun for millions of enthusiasts.

Ski Haus is a family business that has been family owned and operated since 1965. Our family grew up here and watched other families do the same. We sold a lot of you your first pair of skis. Your first ski jacket. Your first pair of boots. You get the idea. We've been around a long time doing what we love so we can get out on the hill and do what we really love. We ski every ski, we try on every boot, we look at every clothing option every year to stock our store with the best selection of everything you could ever need for skiing. We pride ourselves on the fact that we don't sell ski boots...we FIT ski boots. We guarantee it.
