For those of you (and me) who happened to be up north this weekend, we were blessed with powder! The snow at Cannon this Sunday was as light as anything I've skied out west! 18-24" covered the mountain opening up every trail as well as Mittersill (officially) for the first time of the year. The groomers flattened out the mountain Saturday night and then the skies opened up with at least 14" on top of corduroy! There were a lot of happy people out there right up until the lifts stopped turning ant 4:00.
This is a great base for every ski area. Skiing hasn't been better this season. With another storm looming in the distance that could bury the ski areas again, it is time to get your skis tuned, boot dialed in, and take inventory of everything needed to enjoy all that powder up in the mountains.
Get in, get out, and get skiing!
